Specialist Engineering company and Spindle Nose Tooling manufacturer Coventry Engineering Ltd is awarded the updated AS9100 Rev D Accreditation standard after completing an independent audit conducted by Bureau Veritas of its quality management system supported internally by contractors I.M.S.M. and Contrast Assist Limited.
AS9100 is the internationally recognised standard for the aerospace industry operated by the International Aerospace Quality Group.
Standards cover quality assurance in design, development, production, installation, and servicing, maintenance, and repair of parts including the manufacture of aerospace and defence parts.
Paul Pickering, Quality Manager at Coventry Engineering Ltd, commented: “Coventry took the demanding step of converting from its previous ISO 9001-2008 standard to the more stringent AS9100 Rev D standard as part of its ongoing growth strategy, this process included 5 days of audits across the whole Coventry manufacturing facility covering calibration, manufacturing processes, purchasing and sales activities.”
